Why this site exists
An environmental awareness initiative built on one idea: understanding a problem is the first step to solving it.
An awareness project, not a fundraising front
Greenly is an independent environmental awareness initiative created and maintained by Samarth Dhamani. It started as a school project and grew into something more: a resource for translating dense scientific research on climate change, plastic pollution, water scarcity, renewable energy and biodiversity loss into information that's actually readable.
We aren't a registered charity, we don't run field operations, and we don't claim to. What we do is research each topic carefully, cite real sources, and try to explain why these problems matter and what individuals can genuinely do about them — no exaggeration required.
Our Mission
To make the environmental crisis impossible to ignore — by turning complex climate science into clear, honest, actionable knowledge that anyone can use, regardless of their background.
Our Vision
A future where environmental literacy is the norm — where understanding your impact on the climate, oceans, and biodiversity is as ordinary as understanding basic health, and acting on it follows naturally.
The values behind every page
Awareness
Explaining the climate crisis, plastic pollution and biodiversity loss in plain language.
Honesty
Every statistic on this site is sourced. No invented numbers, no invented programs.
Action
Every topic ends with something concrete a reader can actually do.
Community
Change compounds when the people around you care too — so we make it easy to share.
